Yakami Castle (八上城 Yakami-jō?) was a castle structure in Tamba-Sasayama, Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan. It was the original base of power for the Hatano clan.[1] Akechi Mitsuhide`s mother entered the castle as a hostage but later she was executed by Hatano's army in 1579.[2][3]
