William Kane Hoar (5 January 1926 in Massachusetts - 23 October 1987 in Westfield, Massachusetts) was an American Private First Class in the United States Army during World War II. He was also a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
Biography[]
William was born in the state of Massachusetts on 5 January 1926. He was the son of Thomas and Katherine Hoar who also had a daughter named Elizabeth. He served in the United States Army during World War II. After the war he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on 30 October 1945 and was discharged on 23 December 1946. He later went on to work as a custodian at Westfield Trade High School in the 1950s until his death on 23 October 1987. He was buried in St. Marys Cemetery in Westfield.
