Wang Ning (born August 1955) is a Chinese general. Wang is the Deputy Chief of People's Liberation Army General Staff Department.[2][3] Wang was a member of the 17th National People's Congress and an alternate member of the 18th CPC Central Committee.
Life[]
Wang was born Wang Lu'ning (simplified Chinese: 王鲁宁; traditional Chinese: 王魯寧) in Nanjing, Jiangsu in August 1955, with his ancestral home in Rongcheng, Shandong.[4]
Wang joined the People's Liberation Army in 1970 and he was serving in Nanjing Military Region.[4]
In 2003, Wang was appointed as the Chief of the Shanghai Garrison.[4] In 2006, Wang was elevated to the Commander of Jiangxi Military Region, he remained in that position until December 2010, when he was transferred to Beijing and appointed the Chief of Beijing Military Region.[4]
In July 2013, Wang was promoted to become the Deputy Chief of People's Liberation Army General Staff Department.[4][5]
