WZ-132 Light Tank (simplified Chinese: WZ-132轻型坦克; traditional Chinese: WZ-132輕型坦克) was a Chinese light tank which was developed between the 1960s and 1970s. Its development lasted for more than ten years before it was set aside.

Development[]

After Sino-Soviet split, the Sino-Soviet relationship was extreme tension. At that time, completing with Soviet tanks,Chinese Type 59, Type 62, Type 63 trailed. So, China decided to develop a series of new tanks. WZ-132 was one of them. But its technical indicators was too high for China at that time to develop it. Its technical indicators had been changed some times before it was set aside in 1975.[1]
