The Veterans Agency was an Executive Agency of the UK government's Ministry of Defence (MoD). It was amalgamated into the Service Personnel and Veterans Agency (SPVA) on 2 April 2007.
History[]
The Agency was originally called the War Pensions Agency and was part of the Department of Social Security, moving to the Ministry of Defence after the June 2001 General Election. It merged with the Armed Forces Personnel Administration Agency in a new Agency (Service Personnel & Veterans Agency) in 2007.
