US Forces Afghanistan Forward was a United States command based in Kabul, Afghanistan.
The purpose of the mission was to:[1]
- Protect the US diplomatic presence (Embassy in Kabul) in the country
- Support security requirements at Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul
- Provide continued advice and assistance to the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF)
- Support US counter-terrorism effort
