Tian Xiusi (Chinese: 田修思; February 1950 - ) is a standing committee member of the Communist Party of China Xinjiang committee and the political commissar of the Xinjiang Provincial Military Region. Tian is listed as a Lieutenant General and Political Commissar of the Chengdu Military Region as of December 18, 2009. On October 23, he was reported to have been named Political Commissar of the PLA Air Force.
Biography[]
Tian was born in Dongshuiyun Village, Houcun Town, Mengzhou, Henan Province. He joined the Chinese People's Liberation Army in 1968 and has served in Xinjiang for 32 years. In July 2006, he was elevated to the rank of lieutenant general.[1] He is a member of the 17th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.
