Thomas Clifford (1875–19 January 1917) was a Scottish professional football centre half who played in the Football League for Glossop.[3] He also played in the Scottish League for Motherwell and Ayr .[4]
Personal life[]
Clifford served as a private in the Royal Scots Fusiliers during the First World War and was killed during operations on the Ancre river on 19 January 1917.[1] He is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial.[2]
