Steve Gunderson is an American politician from Montana. Gunderson serves as a Republican member of the Montana House of Representatives from District 1, including Libby, Montana.[1]

Early life[]

On May 31, 1957, Gunderson was born in Seattle, Washington.[2]

In 1975, Gunderson graduated from Libby High School in Libby, Montana.[2][3]

Career[]

In military, Gunderson served in the Montana and North Dakota Army National Guard. Gunderson is also a Staff Sergeant, Combat Engineer Senior NCO.[3]

Gunderson is a businessman in Montana. Gunderson owns a RadioShack store, bail bondsman service, and a storage unit business in Libby, Montana.[4] Gunderson is the cofounder of Montanore Positive Action Committee, an advocacy group.[4]

In 2016, Gunderson's political career began when he won the election and became a Republican member of Montana House of Representatives for District 1.[2] Gunderson is also a member of the Libby Asbestos Superfund Advisory Team.[5][6]

Personal life[]

Since 1979, Gunderson has been a resident of Libby, Montana.[4] Gunderson's wife is Cherie and has two sons, Dustin and Jason.[2][3]
