Springfield Air National Guard Base is the home base of the Ohio Air National Guard 178th Wing.[1]
Overview[]
The 178th Wing of the Ohio Air National Guard occupies 113.6 acres (46 ha) of leased land on the Springfield-Beckley Municipal Airport, located in central Ohio, approximately five miles south of the city of Springfield and approximately 50 miles (80 km) west of Columbus.[1]
The missions of the 178th are related to intelligence, reconnaissance and surveillance.
