The Spider Light Strike Vehicle (LSV) is an unarmoured light fast attack vehicle produced by Singapore Technologies Engineering for the Singapore Army.[4]
Design[]
Similar in concept to the US made Desert Patrol Vehicle and Light Strike Vehicle, the Spider LSV was designed for fast hit-and-run raids, it is also capable of undertaking scouting missions, special forces support, and low-intensity guerrilla warfare.[2] Due to its lightweight design, the vehicle could be carried underslung by medium-lift helicopters such as the Super Pumas and the Chinooks of the Republic of Singapore Air Force, or stacked during airlift for rapid deployment by tactical transport aircraft such as the Lockheed C-130 Hercules.[1] This vehicle is currently used by the Singapore Guards[5]
