The Siege of Trebizond was a siege, in August 1461, of the city of Trebizond, capital of the Empire of Trebizond, by the Ottomans under Sultan Mehmed II. After a month of siege, the city was surrendered by the emperor David of Trebizond, and the empire of Trebizond became part of the Ottoman Empire.[1]
