Rudolf Resch (7 April 1914 – 11 July 1943) was a German Luftwaffe ace and recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross during World War II. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Rudolf Resch was shot down and killed on 11 July 1943 by Soviet fighters during the Battle of Kursk. During his career he was credited with 94 aerial victories, 1 in the Spanish Civil War and 93 on the Eastern Front.
