Malaysian Border Regiment/ Rejimen Sempadan[]
Border Regiment was formed with the absorption of the 300-series Regular Force Reserve (Simpanan Angkatan Tetap) of the Territorial Army as the 3rd regiment of the Infantry Corps. It current strength of 5 infantry battalions being tasked with guarding the national border against all type of incursion, infiltration, smuggling and criminal activities. Currently it is responsible to patrol the northern border of peninsular Malaysia and there is plan to expand this regiment responsibility to cover the national border in East Malaysia with Indonesia in the distant future. All 5 Border Battalions would be managed by Border Brigade with a Brigade HQ reporting to 2 Division HQ.
