RAAF Station Bairnsdale was a training station formed in Australia during World War II. No. 1 Operational Training Unit (1OTU) and the General Reconnaissance School (GRS) were based there during the war years. It is now known as Bairnsdale Airport and Airport codes BSJ and YBNS is located 4 nautical miles south west[1] of Bairnsdale, Victoria, Australia, off the Princes Highway.
