The Régiment de la Fère was an artillery regiment of the French army during the Ancien Régime. It was created in 1765 from the 1st battalion of the Royal-Artillerie regiment. From 1785 to 1791, Napoleon Bonaparte was assigned to this regiment as a sous lieutenant.[1] In 1791, the La Fère regiment was renamed "1st Artillery Regiment".
