Pyotr Nikolayevich Gruzinsky

Prince Pyotr Nikolayevich Gruzinsky (Georgian language: პეტრე ნიკოლოზის ძე გრუზინსკი

Russian: Пётр Николаевич Грузинский; literally "Peter of Georgia"; 1837–1892) was a Georgian royal prince (batonishvili) from House of Mukhrani of the royal Bagrationi dynasty.^[1]^[2]^[3] Pyotr was an artist known for his paintings of battle scenes from the Caucasus War.^[4]

He was son of Prince Nikoloz Gruzinsky. He was a scion of the Mukhrani-Gruzinsky branch of the Bagrationi dynasty that had moved to Imperial Russia in the 18th century. He was the last direct male descendant of King Vakhtang VI of Kartli and the last in the Gruzinsky line.
