People's Doctor (Vietnamese language: Thầy thuốc Nhân dân) is the highest title that the State of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam bestows upon those who work in the health sector.

Subjects to be considered for the title of People's Doctor include doctors, pharmacists, medics, doctors of ethnic medicine who work in medical examination and treatment, pharmaceutical production, medical research, disease prevention and control, and prevention and control. translators and medical administrators.

The title "People's Doctor" shall be considered and awarded to the subjects specified in Part 1 above who meet the following criteria:
1. Loyalty to the Socialist Vietnam Fatherland.
2. Having good moral qualities, being dedicated to the profession, wholeheartedly loving the patient, having talents and having many outstanding achievements in disease prevention, treatment, medical science and technology development. Dedicating to the cause of protecting and improving the people's health, having a wide influence among the people, being trusted and respected by patients and colleagues.
3. Having directly performed professional and technical work in the industry for 20 years or more, for medical managers, they must have worked in the industry for 25 years or more, including 15 years or more. directly become a technical collaborator.
The title "People's Doctor" is reviewed and announced every two years on the occasion of the Vietnamese Doctor's Day (Ngày Thầy thuốc Việt Nam) on February 27.
