Operation Oyster was an operation involving the Rhodesian Light Infantry and the British South Africa Police in response to the shooting of a white Rhodesian couple in their car near the Nyadiri Bridge. The aim of the terrorists was poor: they hit the husband in the leg and the foot, and the wife was uninjured. The operation was shut down on 14 April, with no cadres captured, though around a dozen ZAPU sympathisers had been arrested.[1]
