Mbuya Military Hospital

Mbuya Military Hospital, also Mbuya Military Referral Hospital, is a proposed military hospital in Uganda. The hospital is intended to serve as the referral hospital for members of Uganda's Armed Forces.[1][2]

Location[]

The hospital would be located at Mbuya, Nakawa Division, in Uganda's capital city of Kampala, approximately 6 kilometres (3.7 mi), by road, east of the central business district.[3] The coordinates of the proposed hospital are 0°19'30.0"N, 32°37'17.0"E (Latitude:0.325012; Longitude:32.621399).[4]

Overview[]

The hospital is expected to cost US$35 million, funded by the Uganda People's Defence Force (UPDF). The hospital will serve as a referral hospital within the UPDF's health system. Both civilian and military personnel would be attended to.[2]
