The SED Maschinenpistole IX. Parteitag (literally SED Party Conference Machine-pistol) was a prototype machine pistol of East German origin. It was designed by Rolf Ziegenhahn, a gunsmith from Suhl. It is chambered in the 9×18mm Makarov round and is capable of select-fire. The gun also has a foregrip to control accuracy as well as to hold a spare magazine.
