Daishin Maru No.3 Flag of Japan Japan The cargo ship departed from Yokohama for Muroran, Hokkaidō. Although presumed foundered off Yamata, Iwatw with the loss of all hands,[22][23] she was discovered on 18 February drifting at 33°44′N 155°26′E / 33.733°N 155.433°E / 33.733; 155.433 by Java Arrow (Civil Ensign of the United Kingdom United Kingdom) and her 14 crew were taken off.[24]

Spencer Lake Civil Ensign of the United Kingdom United Kingdom The schooner was dismasted and abandoned in the Atlantic Ocean (36°37′N 41°00′W / 36.617°N 41°W / 36.617; -41). Her crew were rescued by Ogontz (US flag 48 stars United States).[40][41]

Johanne Dybwad Flag of Norway Norway The cargo ship issued an SOS in the Atlantic Ocean (45°50′N 37°20′W / 45.833°N 37.333°W / 45.833; -37.333).[43] All 25 crew were taken off the ship on 3 February by Arminco (Flag of Belgium (civil) Belgium).[44] The ship was left drifting, and was discovered at 46°10′N 30°05′W / 46.167°N 30.083°W / 46.167; -30.083 on 21 February by West Ira (US flag 48 stars United States), which took her in tow .[24][45] She arrived at Falmouth, Cornwall on 28 February.[46]

Maitland Flag of Sweden Sweden The cargo ship was in collision with Bazalgette (Civil Ensign of the United Kingdom United Kingdom) in the River Thames and sank. All 20 people aboard survived. The wreck was subsequently struck by Brockley, Corness (both Civil Ensign of the United Kingdom United Kingdom) and Marcato (Flag of Sweden Sweden). The Marcato also sank. All 21 people aboard were rescued by Southampton (Civil Ensign of the United Kingdom United Kingdom).[51][52]
Tolosa Civil Ensign of the United Kingdom United Kingdom The cargo ship ran aground in the Saloum River, French West Africa.[49] She was refloated on 6 February.[50]
Whimbrel Civil Ensign of the United Kingdom United Kingdom The cargo ship collided with Marloch (Civil Ensign of the United Kingdom United Kingdom) in the Scheldt off Vlissingen, Netherlands and sank.[53]

Yosemite was taken in tow by Sea Ranger (US flag 48 stars United States) but was wrecked when part of her cargo of dynamite exploded.[58]
