Jemtland Flag of Sweden Sweden The liner struck a mine and sank at Herthas Flak [2][3] with the loss of seven of her 26 crew.[4]
Nicolaas Flag of the Netherlands Netherlands The cargo ship struck a mine in the North Sea off the Dogger Bank and sank with some loss of life.[3]
Nipponier Flag of Belgium (civil) Belgium The cargo ship foundered in the Bay of Biscay (44°24′N 9°03′W / 44.4°N 9.05°W / 44.4; -9.05 (SS Nipponier)). Her crew were rescued by Rio de Janeiro (Flag of Norway Norway).[5][6]
Roumanier Flag of Belgium (civil) Belgium The cargo ship caught fire whilst ship berthed at Antwerp. Her hull was badly damaged and the ship was laid up. She was scrapped in 1923 at Hamburg, Germany.[7]

She was on a voyage from Calcutta, India to Dundee, Forfarshire.[16]
West Avenal US flag 48 stars United States The Design 1019 cargo ship collided with Lancastrian (Civil Ensign of the United Kingdom United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland) in New York Harbor and was beached. She was refloated over a month later and returned to service.

Novara Civil and Naval Ensign of France French Navy The Novara-class cruiser sprang a leak in the Adriatic Sea and put into Brindisi, Apulia, Italy, where she sank.[37] She was refloated in early April.[38] Novara was subsequently repaired and entered service with the French Navy.
Samuel Faunce US flag 48 stars United States The tug departed Wilmington, Delaware for Key West, Florida. No further trace, presumed foundered in the Atlantic Ocean with the loss of all hands.[39]
Spey Civil Ensign of the United Kingdom United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland The cargo ship was driven ashore 7 nautical miles (13 km) south of Jaffa, British-occupied Palestine (31°52′00″N 34°30′30″E / 31.8666667°N 34.50833°E / 31.8666667; 34.50833) and wrecked with the loss of a crew member.[36][40]
