List of World War I aces from Latvia

The list of World War I flying aces from Latvia contains the name of one ace known to have been born in Latvia, as well as the names of two aces who seem to have also been active in the fighting in the Baltic just after the Armistice with Germany ended the war.[1]

Additionally, two other Latvian pilots are reputed to have become aces.

  • Lieutenant Peteris Eduard M. Tomson, tentatively credited with 11 victories though apparently he scored some or all of his victories while flying for Latvian insurgent forces during 1919.[1] Itemized list of one confirmed and four unconfirmed victories exists.[3]
  • Olgerdis I. Teteris (alias O. J. Teter or Olgerts Teteris), tentatively credited with six victories during World War I.[1] Itemized list of two confirmed victories exists.[4]
