In this Vietnamese name, the family name is Lê, but is often simplified to Le in English-language text. According to Vietnamese custom, this person should properly be referred to by the given name Khang.
Lieutenant General Lê Nguyên Khang (born 11 June 1931 [Son Tay] - died 12 November 1996 [Orange County, VA, USA])[citation needed] was a Marine Commander of the Republic of Vietnam Marine Corps for South Vietnam.
