The Kherson airport airstrike took place on 16 March 2022, during the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. The Wall Street Journal reported that "Ukraine carried out an airstrike on the Kherson airport, which is now a Russian airbase, and satellite imagery of the tarmac showed seven destroyed or damaged Russian helicopters, some of them engulfed in flames."[1]
