Julius Gregory (4 July 1881 – 20 July 1916) was an English professional football full back who played in the Football League for Bury and Manchester City.[2]

Personal life

Gregory attended Manchester Grammar School.[3] He served as a private in the Royal Fusiliers during the First World War and died during the assault on High Wood on the Western Front on 20 July 1916. He is thought to have died in melee combat.[4] He is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial.[1][5]
