John Reading Alexander (15 November 1905 - date of death unknown) was a Canadian Squadron Leader in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II.

Squadron Leader Alexander's official Medal of Freedom citation says:

Squadron Leader John R. Alexander, Royal Canadian Air Force, performed exceptionally meritorious service from June 1944 to January 1946. As Personal Staff Officer to the Air Officer Commanding, North West Air Command, Royal Canadian Air Force, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, he played a prominent liaison role in working out mutual problems and joint responsibilities of the Canadian and Unites States agencies. His cooperative attitude and sincere interest in the problems and welfare of the United States Forces were of inestimable value to the successful accomplishment of their mission in Northwest Canada.[1]
