John Chapman Hodgkinson (1883 – 5 June 1915) was an English professional football forward who played in the Football League for Stockport County and Grimsby Town.[2]
Personal life[]
Hodgkinson served in the British Army as a territorial.[3] He later re-enlisted as a private in the East Lancashire Regiment during the First World War and was killed at Gallipoli on 5 June 1915.[3] He is commemorated on the Helles Memorial.[1]
