John Henry Land (June 12, 1918 – November 30, 2011) was an American judge, lawyer, and politician.
Land was born in Columbus, Georgia and went to the Muscogee County School System. In 1939, Land received his law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law. He served in the United States Army during World War II and was commissioned a major. Land served in the Georgia State Senate in 1949 and 1950. Land practiced law and then served as Solicitor General of the Chattahoochee Judicial System from 1955 to 1964 He served as Judge of the Georgia Superior Court from 1964 to 1989. Land died at Columbus Hospice House in Columbus Georgia.[1][2]
