Jackson G. Sargent was a soldier who served in the Union Army during the American Civil War.[1]

Civil War Service[]

Sargent was awarded the Medal of Honor in October 1891 for his actions on the second of April, 1865.[2] He enlisted as a private into the 5th Vermont Infantry, Company D at Stowe, Vermont in August 1861. Sargent was commissioned as the first lieutenant of Company K in May 1865.[3]
