  • Ivan Mikhailovich Chistyakov (September 27, 1900 – March 7, 1979) was a Soviet division and army commander. He began his military career fighting for the Bolsheviks against the White Movement. He became a major general in January 1942 and a lieutenant general in January 1943. As part of the 1st Baltic Front, he participated in the campaign to free Lithuania from Nazi occupation. He was a Hero of the Soviet Union as well as a recipient of the Order of the Red Banner, the Order of Lenin, the Order of Suvorov (1st and 2nd class) and the Order of Kutuzov. He received the Order of the National Flag from North Korea.
