The Artillery Corps are the artillery section of the Irish Defence Force.The Corps provides fire support to other sections of the Irish Defence Force.[1] The Corps was founded in 1924 and today consists of two main branches;

- Air Defence

- RBS-70 Surface to Air Missile system
- 32 Bofors EL-70 40mm Air defence Gun[3]
- Browning .50 on Cobra mount (air defence role)
