Maj Gen Ian Deetlefs (Rtd) SSAS PG SM JCD served in the South African Army's Reserve Force from 1965–2003. He became the first Chief of Defence Reserves of the South African National Defence Force in 1997.[1] He retired from the SANDF in 2003 and was succeeded by Maj Gen R.C. Andersen.[2]

Greenlands is the company developing the New Town Centre in Ballito, and is on track to bring 850,000 square metres of mixed use bulk to the North Coast of KZN within the next few years. Plans are well advanced to develop an International Conference centre and Regional Shopping Centre on Greenlands.
