Brigadier Hoshiar Singh was the commander of the Indian 62 Brigade stationed at Se La. Brigadier Singh was martyred, along with a few Indian troops during the 1962 Sino-Indian War. Brigadier Hoshiar Singh was commended for his bravery in the war. He was born in a Jat family in Village Sankhol, Bahadurgarh, Haryana. His village has produced numerous brave army officers since then.
Details of the battle[]
This was the second war fought by independent India.It all sterted with Chinese attack on the himalayan NEFA region, now as Arunachal Pradesh state of India,in the winter of 1962. He was posted at the Tse La pass of this region with a small SELA brigade of Indian Army,they fight till the last breath of them.
Death[]
Brig. Hoshiar Singh achieved martyerdom in fighting for his motherland in NEFA region,in 1962 .
