Heinrich Bertram (1842–unknown) was an American soldier who received the Medal of Honor for his actions in the vicinity of the Black Mountains, Arizona during the period of conflicts known as the Indian Wars.

Biography[]

Bertram was born in Brunswick, Germany in 1842[1][2] and joined the United States Army from Cincinnati, Ohio.[3] While a Corporal in Company B of the 8th U.S. Cavalry, he distinguished between August 13 and October 31, 1868, in the vicinity of the Black Mountains, Arizona.[1][2]
