Goliath mine at the Polish war museum
Copying an idea from the French company Kégresse, the Goliath was a tank demolition remote control, guided by wire, carrying a load of demolition until a fort, where the vehicle exploded. Were employed from 1942 in all theaters, with particular success in the Warsaw Uprising. However, during the war showed that the cost of losing the vehicle each time it was used was too high to justify the special uses to which it was intended. There were three models, an electric motor (SdKfz 302) and two gasoline engine (SdKfz 303A and 303B), the last two cheaper. More than 7,000 were built, of which 4604 model 303A
