Ernest Eugene Kell, Jr. (July 5, 1928 – April 29, 2017) was an American politician. He served as mayor of Long Beach, California from 1984 to 1994, and was also at one time a city councillor.[1][2] A Korean War veteran, Kell also owned a drafting and contracting company.[3][4][5] He was married to Jackie, who is a former member of the Long Beach city council.[6] Kell died from cancer at his home in Long Beach, California.[7] He was 88.
