Charles Brandon Jiggetts (February 26, 1926 - March 16, 2010) was a United States Air Force Brigadier General.
Early life
Charles was born on February 26, 1926 in Henderson, North Carolina. He graduated from high school at Henderson Institute in 1943.
Military career
Military assignments
- 1944-May 1946: Enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Forces and was honorably discharged in May 1946.
- August 1950-1952: Commissioned a Second Lieutenant through the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps program.
- Group Adjutant and Supply Officer, Basic Military Training Center at Sampson Air Force Base, New York
- 1952-1957: Attended flying school at James Connally Air Force Base, Texas; later become an Aircraft Observer and Radar Intercept Officer
- Aircraft Observer and Radar Intercept Officer, Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida, McGuire Air Force Base, New Jersey; and Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska
- July 1957-1960: 98th Fighter-Interceptor Squadron, Dover Air Force Base, Delaware; later Squadron Radar Officer
- 1959-1960: Attended the Communications Officer Course at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi
- 1960-June 1963: 27th Communications Squadron, Andersen Air Force Base, Guam
