The Central Military Band of the Korean Peoples Army (Hangul: 조선 인민군 중앙 군사 단) was founded in 1946 and is the primary military orchestra of the Korean People's Army.
History[]
On February 23, 1946, the Military Band of the Pyongyang Military School was created, which became the predecessor of the Band of the Korean People's Army. In June 1950, he became an orchestra of the Ministry of Public Security of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. Late that year, the band became a unit of the Supreme High Command. By September 1954, control of the band was given to the Ministry of Public Security of the DPRK. It became a separate entity, and was given its current name in June 1998.[1][2]
