Cai Yingting (Chinese: 蔡英挺; born April 1954) is a general of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) of China. He has been Commander of the Nanjing Military Region since 2012.
Biography[]
Cai Yingting was born in April 1954 in Jinjiang, Fujian Province. He joined the PLA in 1970 and formerly worked as the secretary of General Zhang Wannian, former Vice-Chairman of the Central Military Commission. Cai served as Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the PLA from 2011 to 2012, and was appointed Commander of the Nanjing Military Region in 2012, and attained the rank of general (shang jiang) in 2012.[1][2]
Cai is a full member of the 18th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.[1][2]
