The CCGS Cap Breton is one of the Canadian Coast Guard's 36 Cape class motor life boat.[1] The vessel is stationed in Shippegan, New Brunswick. In September 2008, at her dedication, local Member of Parliament, Mike Allen said: "The CCGS Cap Breton, and Station Shippagan are important maritime search and rescue resources that will allow crews to respond to emergencies with confidence, knowing that they have the tools they need to get the job done. The dedication of this vessel, and the opening of Station Shippagan once again displays the Government of Canada’s commitment to maintaining the safety and security of mariners in our Canadian waters."
