The British Salonika Army was a British field army of the British Army during World War I.
First World War[]
The Army was formed in Salonika under Lieutenant General George Milne to oppose Bulgarian advances in the region as part of the Macedonian front (World War I).[1] The army arrived in Salonika (along with French troops) on October 15, 1915.[2] It eventually comprised two corps and remained in place until 1921.[3]
