The Bongoh town Battle(봉오동 전투, 鳳梧洞戰鬪) was a Korean independence militia and Japanese battle in Manchuria. In June 6 to June 7, 1920 a confrontation between under the command of Honh Pomdo(홍범도, 洪範圖) and Choi Chin-dong(최진동, 崔振東)s 1,300 Korean independence militia[2] and some Japanese suppression battalion 500 peoples. that was one of early domestic support operations of independence military. It occurred during the campaign of the Japanese army in Jiandao, during Japanese occupation of Korea.
