The Battle of Ozerna was fought on 20–22 November (O.S. 10–12 November) 1655 near Ozerna (then in Ruthenian Voivodeship of the Crown of Poland, now part of Ukraine) between the forces of the Polish-Tatar coalition and Ukrainian-Muscovite troops. The battle ended with a success for Ukrainian Cossacks and their Muscovite Russian allies. According to the subsequent Treaty of Ozerna, the Crimean List of Khans of Crimea pledged not to attack Ukrainian lands and the Tsardom of Moscow, while hetman Bohdan Khmelnytskyi promised not to attack Crimea and the Porte and restrain the Don Cossacks from attacking their Tatar and Turkish neighbours. Both sides also exchanged prisoners.
