The Band of the 154th Preobrazhensky Regiment is a special military unit that performs military music for the 154th Preobrazhensky Independent Commandant's Regiment. It is a branch of the Military Band Service of the Armed Forces of Russia.
History[]
The Band of the 154 Preobrazhensky Regiment was established on June 1, 2011. n the basis of the 13 Military Orchestra (of the Military District Headquarters), which was formed back in 1940. The group supports key events and official ceremonies of the highest level with participation of the Mayor of Moscow and city government. The band is a part of the Massed Bands of the Moscow Garrison that participate s in the military parades on Red Square. The band has participated in the parade on Red Square on 7 November 1941, the XXII Summer Olympic Games, the International Festival of Youth and Students, and the celebrations in honor of the 850th anniversary of Moscow. The band has recorded many pieces of music including the State Anthem of Russia.[1][2]
