The Bakalov is a Bulgarian assault rifle of bullpup configuration, named for its creator Georgi Delchev Bakalov.
It consists of 72 pieces, many of which based on the Kalashnikov design, reconfigured as a bullpup rifle.
The firearm is chambered for several Warsaw Pact cartridges, such as the 7.62x39mm, as well as the NATO 5.56x45mm and 7.62x51mm cartridges.
The Bakalov is able to propel a 40mm rifle grenade.
