RADM Arthur S. Limouze
Dr. Arthur Sanford Limouze (May 26, 1914 - April 22, 1985) was an American Rear Admiral in the United States Merchant Marine.
Early life[]
Arthur was born on May 26, 1914 in New York City, New York to Reverend Arthur H. Limouze and Mina S. Housinger.[1]
Major military assignments & post military career[]
- December 20, 1944 – May 30, 1946: Served in the United States Army Air Forces. Was a flight officer with the Air Transport Command.[2]
- 1947-1971: Served in the United States Merchant Marine.
- Member of the Faculy, SUNY Maritime College (1947-1962)
- Dean of the Faculty, United States Merchant Marine Academy (1962-1965)
- President of the Massachusetts Maritime Academy (1965-1971).
He retired as a Rear Admiral in 1971.
Post military career[]
- 1971-?: Executive Director and later Director of the Maritime Institute of Technology and Graduate Studies

Personal life[]
Arthur married Ellen Frances Frey in 1948. Together they had three children (Henry, Frank and Dorothy). His wife died on March 21, 2003.[3]

Arthur passed away on April 22, 1985 in Wicomico, Maryland.
