Anthem of the Beiyang Fleet (simplified Chinese: 北洋海军军歌; traditional Chinese: 北洋海軍軍歌) is the official anthem of Beiyang Fleet, Qing Dynasty. This anthem was once lost in history, but a scholar called Yue Chen (Chinese: 陈悦) re-found this anthem when he went to the United Kingdom in 2012. Then a composer Xue Ye (Chinese: 雪野) in People's Liberation Army adapt this anthem.[1] The documentary Rise and Fall of Beiyang Fleet presented by CCTV uses this anthem as its theme music.[2]
The anthem shares the same tune with Tune of Li Zhongtang.
