Akashi Morishige (明石 守重 , ? - 1618) was a vassal of Ukita Hideie, the daimyo of Okayama prefecture and fought against Tokugawa Ieyasu at Sekigahara. He surrendered to Kuroda Nagamasa. Later, he fought for the Toyotomi clan at Osaka Castle. After his side lost, he somehow managed to escape the fall of the castle. He was baptised a Christian in 1596.
